Strabismus

Strabismus

Strabismus is a visual condition that is characterized by an anomaly in the alignment of the eyes with a gaze that points in different directions. This misalignment can be intermittent or constant.

Strabismus is classified according to the direction of misalignment. When one eye looks straight ahead, the other eye can deviate inward (esotropia), outward (exotropia), downward (hypotropia) or upward (hypertropia).
